Solomon Sekhaelelo b. 1937, or Solly as I call my dear friend of 30 years, is the last living Soweto School of Art artist, and one of the “Top Ten” within the group. Like I knew Winston Saoli 1950-1995 was a genius, so do I know that Solly falls without a doubt into the same category. He has mastered every medium of fine art, from pencil drawing to advanced oil painting, crossing over with ease from realism to impressionism into pure abstract styles in his compositions. He has developed a unique, identifying recognizable style in each of these different genres. In the past 3 to 4 years Solly has matured into, and crossed the line from an accomplished professional artist, into what I believe to be an "African Fine Art Master".
The works presently on offer at a DISCOUNTED PRICE during our ONLINE SOLO EXHIBITION & PROMOTION include pieces representative of all genres and have been hand-selected by Solly himself since February 2019 in preparation for this exhibition that we have planned to celebrate his 84th birthday on the 1st of September. The exhibition opens internationally at the end of September at which time the pricing will change to the current market value and not the advertised "SALE" price during the exclusive SA PROMOTION AND EXHIBITION.
